Prestige Car Finance - Case Study 1
Customer Objective:
To finance the purchase of a luxury motor car for himself through his Limited company.
Potential Issues:
Client has been let down by other funding routes arranged when order placed
Car now ready for delivery
Client knows he will only keep the car for a couple of years before buying something new.
Potential Deal structure:
We are able to underwrite finance on luxury vehicles quickly, so we could have a same day decision, with the aim to complete the deal within only a couple of days.
On these types of cars we can offer balloon rentals at the end of the agreement, reducing the monthly repayments – especially where the client doesn’t intend to take full ownership of the vehicle.

Car Hire Company - Case Study 2
Customer Object:
Purchase new vehicles to replace older vehicles on fleet, client has been trading successfully for 10 years and is considered to have a good credit history.
Potential Issues:
All of their current credit lines are full and are not due to be revised until end of financial year.
Deal structure:
Many of our clients are considered ‘Prime’ by other lenders, we frequently offer to finance vehicles when their mainstream funding lines are full.
Plant Hire Company - Case Study 3
Customer Objective:
Increase fleet by purchasing a variety of excavators, loading shovels and mini diggers
Potential Issues:
Client does not have a deposit / sufficient deposit
Potential Deal structure:
We could offer to take additional security in lieu of deposit in the form of a second charge over property, or by taking security on existing equipment.
If the client had a small deposit we could also offer increase payments for the first 3 to 6 months of the agreement to cover the additional deposit required.

Printing Company - Case Study 4
Customer objective:
To raise capital to fund the purchase of a nearby competitor
Potential Issues:
Client is unable to raise the required capital with their bank
Potential Deal structure:
We could offer to refinance the existing assets of the business to raise the required capital, we could also look to raise capital against the assets of the business to be purchased.
If the client owns their current premises and has sufficient equity, we could release some of that equity to aid the buyout.

Customer objective:
To purchase a new coach to enhance their fleet and to win a new contract with a tour company
Potential issues:
The contract is only seasonal, however the client may well be able to acquire some extra contracts during the winter months.
Potential Deal structure:
Given that this contact will attract all its income during the summer months, we could structure a deal whereby repayments are higher during these months and lower when trade is slower.

Haulage Company - Case Study 6
Customer objective:
To replace non LEZ (London Emission Zone) compliant vehicles.
Potential Issues:
The client's company suffered when one of their largest customers went into administration; however the business has now recovered.
Client has approached his bank and other existing lenders who are unwilling to increase their exposure.
Potential Deal structure:
At Liberty we are very familiar with this scenario, as our underwriting is based on the asset value and not just the balance sheet we can be more flexible than some of the mainstream lenders.
We can also consider proposals when the client has some historic adverse credit.
